2016 La Belle Promenade Chardonnay
A tightly framed nose and palate with citrus, green apple, mineral and saline like character. Well integrated use of French oak adds spice and texture to this complex wine with a lingering finish. While this wine is enjoyable in youth it will gain in weight and complexity with short to medium term cellaring.

La Belle Promenade is 33 acres of mainly Saum and some Nekia soils, with the western portion of the site consisting of a thick layer of fractured basalt. The vineyard was planted in 2014 to 26 acres of Pinot Noir, 5 acres of Chardonnay and 2 acres of Pinot Meunier. Due in part to its high elevation, this site allows for great diversity in concert with our other estate vineyard, Flanerie.
Our youngest vineyard, this estate is planted to 33 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier on Saum, Nekia and, on the western portion, a thick layer of fractured basalt.
