Tasting Notes
Aromas of floral violets, anise, roasted red berries and black cherry complement the earthy whole cluster character. Flavors of roasted strawberry, black cherry, and pomegranate are framed with earthy sage, leather, cigar box and leather. The palate is medium bodied with bright acidity, firm tannins, and a long finish that we wish would never end…
Vineyard Notes
La Belle Promenade Vineyard, our treasured estate site in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, spans 40 acres of organically dry-farmed vines planted in 2014. Situated between 700 and 850 feet in elevation, its northeastern and southwestern exposures bring balance and unique character to our wines. The vineyard’s volcanic soils vary between a fractured basalt layer in the southwest and deep Saum soils in the southeast, adding complexity to each harvest. Planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Grüner Veltliner, Gamay Noir, and Aligoté, La Belle Promenade reflects the rich diversity of its terroir, yielding wines with vibrant floral notes, bright acidity, and a hint of the orchard fruits that once flourished here.
