Silky fine grained tannins and lively acidity frame ripe flavors of blackberry and black cherry. A lingering finish is carried by a medley of everything we adore about this classic La Belle Promenade Pinot Noir; bright, high tones of ripe fruit, food friendly acidity and gorgeous texture.
Dry farmed using organic principles La Belle Promenade Vineyard comprises 40 acres of vines planted in 2014. Sitting atop the Chehalem Mountains AVA, the vineyard is home to volcanic soils ranging in diversity from a thick layer of fractured basalt in our shallow rooted southwestern blocks and deeper volcanic Saum soils in the southeastern corner of the vineyard. The crops we harvest from La Belle Promenade produce characteristic floral notes that cling to acidity and tell the story of the orchard fruits that once grew here. Planted varieties include mixed Pinot Noir Clones, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Aligoté, Grüner Veltliner & Gamay. Featured soils include volcanic Jory and Nekia. The vineyard sits between 700 and 800 feet in elevation with northeastern and southwestern exposures.
