In his essay “The Painter of Modern Life”, Charles Baudelaire writes of a journalist turned street painter, a fixture on the sprawling promenades of Paris: Constantin Guys. As Constantin would wander the streets, searching for inspiration, our Winemaker, Anthony, walks the cellar to put together this cuvée every year.

Tasting Notes
Showcasing the masterful blending of our Winemakers, the Cuvée Constantin Chardonnay blends the ripe sun soaked blocks of La Belle Promenade with the leaner more mineral driven rows showcasing a balanced yet bold cuvée that is deeply textured. Aroma and flavors mirror one another and sing of yellow apple, Meyer lemon, a golden kiss of candle wax, honey, and graham cracker with a touch of French and Austrian oak for richness.
Vineyard Notes
La Belle Promenade translates to the “The Beautiful Walk” in French. Telling the story of the orchard fruits that once grew on the land, La Belle Promenade Vineyard is rooted in volcanic soils creates wines with floral notes that cling to acidity and sing of the bright, high tones that ripple through the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Established in 2014 at 700’-820’ in elevation.
