The La Belle Promenade Pinot Meunier has been sought after by Flâneur fans since we started making it in 2017. Known for its important role as a blending variety in traditional Champagne, Meunier is just as delicious on its own as a still red wine. Our playful approach to crafting this wine involves 100% whole cluster with a medley of carbonic and traditional fermentation techniques making it a lighter red wine meant to be enjoyed in its youth.

Tasting Notes
Enticing aromas of wildflowers, green olive, and bright cranberry lead the charge, followed by hints of pomegranate and raspberry. The palate is vibrant and lively, showcasing flavors of tart cherry and juicy pomegranate intertwined with a more complex layer of rosemary, white pepper, earth, and a touch of forest floor. The wine is finely textured with delicate tannins and a refreshing acidity that carries through to a long, crisp finish. Best enjoyed slightly chilled.
Vineyard Notes
La Belle Promenade Vineyard is planted to 40 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Grüner Veltliner, Gamay and Aligoté. It sits on top of volcanic soils, with the western portion of the site consisting of a thick layer of fractured basalt. Due in part to its high elevation, this site allows for great diversity in concert with our other estate vineyard, Flânerie.
