2022 Pinot Meunier
In Stock
The La Belle Promenade Pinot Meunier has been sought after by Flâneur fans since we started making it in 2017. Known for its important role as a blending variety in traditional Champagne, Meunier is just as delicious on its own as a still red wine. Our playful approach to crafting this wine involves 100% whole cluster with a medley of carbonic and traditional fermentation techniques making it a lighter red wine meant to be enjoyed in its youth.

Tasting Notes
Enticing aromas of wildflowers, green olive, and bright cranberry lead the charge, followed by hints of pomegranate and raspberry. The palate is vibrant and lively, showcasing flavors of tart cherry and juicy pomegranate intertwined with a more complex layer of rosemary, white pepper, earth, and a touch of forest floor. The wine is finely textured with delicate tannins and a refreshing acidity that carries through to a long, crisp finish. Best enjoyed slightly chilled.

92 Points, International Wine Report - Sept 20204 | "It’s not every day you come across a still Pinot Meunier from Oregon, but Flaneur has delivered something truly captivating with their 2022 La Belle Promenade. Pouring a glistening medium ruby-red core with a delicate pink rim, this wine opens with an enticing bouquet of fresh linen, cranberries, red currants, and Bing cherries. Aromas of dried sagebrush and Pomelo zest add layers of complexity. The palate offers tart acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a supple richness, finishing with a refreshing note of lemony herbs. 2024-2032" - Jeremy Young
Vineyard Notes
La Belle Promenade Vineyard, our treasured estate site in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, spans 40 acres of organically dry-farmed vines planted in 2014. Situated between 700 and 850 feet in elevation, its northeastern and southwestern exposures bring balance and unique character to our wines. The vineyard’s volcanic soils vary between a fractured basalt layer in the southwest and deep Saum soils in the southeast, adding complexity to each harvest. Planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Grüner Veltliner, Gamay Noir, and Aligoté, La Belle Promenade reflects the rich diversity of its terroir, yielding wines with vibrant floral notes, bright acidity, and a hint of the orchard fruits that once flourished here.
